Boats and Canoe

Canoe:  there is an Old Town 12-foot canoe stored by the well close to Wind Song.  The key for the canoe is on the key rack in Wind Song’s kitchen.  Canoe paddles and life jackets are in the shed.

Fishing Boat.  There is a fishing boat in the garage.  The fishing boat can be towed to area lakes.  The boat trailer requires a hitch with a 2” ball.  The trailer lights do not work.  Prior to launching the boat, be sure to install the plug into the drainage whole on the transom.  

    - The boat engine is a four cycle engine and takes high octane gasoline; no oil should be added to the gas tanks when they are refilled. 

    - To start the engine, put throttle in neutral, turn handle to “start,” and push start button on front of engine. 

    - The battery is charged by a charging unit on the back wall of the garage - be sure to unhook and hook up the charger when using the boat.  There is a voltmeter on the the work bench to check the battery charge.  

    - Registration for the boat is taped inside the boat near the bow.
